Warning signs can include:
If you believe someone might be struggling with their mental health or substance abuse,
considering reaching out and following the Share Ask Support (SAS) method.
Share - Share your concern. Reaching out to them whether in person, phone call or a message.
Hearing someone cares is often the first step in sharing hope.
Ask - Ask directly about how they鈥檙e feeling. This includes if they are struggling with
thoughts of suicide. Asking does not put the idea into someone鈥檚 head and it shows
that someone cares.
Support - After asking, listen without judgment. Help find resources available in your area,
then offer to connect them to necessary services. Continue to support by checking
in again.
