What Are ACP Badges?
The Aging Care Professionals (ACP) badge series is a flexible, self-paced learning opportunity for anyone working in or entering the aging care field. The ACP Badge Series Includes:
1 credit hour
This course is designed to equip aging care professionals with the knowledge and skills
needed to ensure the safety and well-being of older adults and care professionals.
Participants will learn about common safety risks and hazards that aging adults face,
as well as strategies for preventing accidents and injuries.

This course focuses on providing comprehensive, person-centered care to aging adults.
Participants will learn about the principles of aging adult centered care, including
respect for autonomy, dignity, and individual preferences. The course will cover topics
such as effective communication, cultural competence, ethical considerations, and
strategies for promoting independence and quality of life.
Dementia - COMING SOON!
1 credit hour
This course is designed to provide aging care professionals with the knowledge and
skills needed to care for older adults with dementia. The course will cover topics
such as understanding dementia, addressing behavioral and psychological symptoms,
promoting independence, and understanding aspects of dementia.
End-of-Life - COMING SOON!
.5 credit hour
This course is designed to equip aging care professionals with the essential knowledge
and compassionate skills needed to provide quality end-of-life care for older adults.
Participants will learn about the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of end-of-life
care, including pain management, communication strategies, and ethical considerations.
The course will cover topics such as hospice care, palliative care, cultural sensitivity,
and supporting families through the end-of-life process.
