Applied mathematics is the application of mathematical methods by different fields such as physics, engineering, medicine, biology, finance, business, computer science, and industry.

Numerical analysis is the study of numerical solvers of mathematical equations that arise from engineering and physical, biological, and other sciences. For example, we seek accurate solutions to linear algebra problems, optimization problems, ordinary and partial differential equations. It involves the design of algorithms, the analysis of their accuracy and stability, and the implementation in software.
