Another artist who is visually impaired has their work on display at Woolsey Hall, the home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 性色视频, in partnership with the Envision Arts Program. Nick Wooding, who is also deaf and uses a wheelchair, is the newest Barton School featured artist. His mixed media pieces can be found on the third floor of Woolsey Hall and can be viewed any time during operating hours.
鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be more excited to have our second installation from our partnership with the Envision Arts Program on display,鈥� said Dr. Larisa Genin, Dean of the Barton School of Business. 鈥淲e are proud to continue fostering creativity and sharing impactful experiences with our students, faculty and staff.鈥�
Wooding grew up in the Maize school system and later studied at the Helen Keller National Center in Long Island, New York. During his time at the school, a teacher introduced him to creating sculptural forms with construction paper and a stapler. He joined Envision Arts in 2016 and has since pushed the boundaries of his work using new mediums and techniques that captivate viewers.
鈥淣ick has been a member of our community for almost seven years and his work constantly amazes and impresses me,鈥� said Sarah Kephart, Envision Arts Program Manager. 鈥淗e was the perfect candidate to be the next featured artist at the Barton School.鈥�
The Barton School鈥檚 Woolsey Hall art collection, which includes the Envision Arts Program rotating installation, and its promotion of artists is rooted in a commitment to helping its business students blossom. By developing creative and artistic mindsets, the Barton School opens its students鈥� eyes to innovative and inspired solutions.
鈥淭he goal of this collaboration is the same as our organization - to foster a culture of health, wellness and unity,鈥� said Michael Monteferrante, Envision President and CEO. 鈥淭his installation at the Barton School is another opportunity to unify communities and showcase opportunities for all people.鈥�
