how to create rain, thunder, balloon rockets, and fronts all inside a lab. Each of
you can become a weather person for a day!
- The Broad Street Mystery (Environmental Finance Center)
Get swept up in the mystery on Broad Street. It will take a great detective to figure
out who, or what, is killing people in this quiet London neighborhood. Use your science
and sleuthing skills to solve the mystery.
- UV Detectors
Use UV sensitive beads to test the protection of multiple different sunscreens and
materials by designing your own experiment and take home your very own UV-detector
bracelet.
- Mission Marbles: A Roller Coaster Adventure! (Society for Women Engineers)
Roller coasters are an excellent example of the connection between kinetic energy
(the energy of motion) and potential energy (stored energy). In this workshop, you'll
build a roller coaster track for marbles to see how much energy a roller coaster needs
to go through a loop without getting stuck.

Lab scientists get to do this and more! Come take your turn to learn how to use microscopes
in a lab and explore!
- Aquatic Ecology
This workshop will allow the girls to see and interact with live animals, both large
and small. They will see preserved museum specimens as well and hear about how they
are important for scientific research. There will also be an opportunity to see tiny
animals under a microscope.
- Harvest the Stars with NASA SUITS Design Team
Come create your own lunar lander, experience what it's like in a space shuttle using
virtual reality, and play games in virtual reality. Learn about what 性色视频 State's
very own NASA SUITS Design team has been working on for the next moon mission, Artemis.
- Food Waste Impact (Kansas State University Pollution Prevention Institute)
Learn about food waste and how it negatively impacts our environment. Skills include
learning how to evaluate food waste amounts, calculating greenhouse gas emissions
from landfill disposal of food waste and the benefits of composting.
- Parachute Party
Participants will design and build their own parachutes using coffee filters, string,
and craft stick weights. At the end of the workshop, there will be a competition to
see whose parachute falls the slowest. Participants will leave with a greater understanding
of drag and airflow principles.
- Magic for Muggles (Pfizer)
Learn magical spells and potions through chemistry. Owl post from Hogwarts not required.
