Contributor to Geraldine Hammond returns as a major player in the English Department, in 1949. We used to host an Annual Meeting of the Kansas College Teachers of English (what a mouthful), records from 1935 corroborate this. Seems to have been a nice affair, with live music. Records indicating the start of the creative writing program around 1939.
