Contributor to Sidney Brick was in a freshman comp program, and he later served on the University Board of Regents, eventually succeeding in incorporating WSU in the state university system. The story goes that this was meant to keep costs lower for those who attended WSU. Nice when our administration cared about that, I suppose. (This is gritchy, I know. Debt gives me anxiety, though).
